August 22, 2025
Dear Community Orchestra,
This season’s rehearsals will begin on Monday, September 15, 2025.
For new and returning members, please register by September 8, 2025, if possible, so that we can prepare appropriate music for the group.
That said, we are always happy to welcome new members! If you would like to join later in the year, we ask that you contact either myself or our librarian, Sandra Cosbey, a week in advance, so that we can prepare music for you.
The orchestra is an amateur group and we do not hold auditions. It can feel daunting coming back to an instrument if you haven’t played in many years, or if you are starting as an adult. You’re not alone in that feeling! We are a friendly group coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. If you want to come observe the orchestra, or try it out, that’s very possible. Just be in touch with us first so we can be prepared for you!
We look forward to making music together soon…
Sincerely,
Tom Cosbey
